Passport Program

Open For ALL FMS Students!!!

                 Books can take you around the world or at least out of class for some special rewards. 

All students are eligible to participate. 

Here’s how:

Step #1 Student Needs to....Student Will Earn....
Step 1Pick a book from the Sunshine State List and read it. 

A Candy Treat!

Hint: Carry your bookmark at all times and you'll get another candy treat! 

Step 2

Get credit for reading the book in one of two ways:

Visit the Media Center and take the computer quiz OR

complete a crossword puzzle about the book. 

Credits!

Each credit receives either a candy bar/small or large, nerd ropes, chips, soda, etc.

Step 3Earn five credits. Look at all passport activities.

      But wait — there’s MORE !!!

                Read four different books from the list and either do the crossword puzzle or take the computer quiz.

          Your books will be recorded, and you’ll earn the following rewards:    

                                 4 Books:  $5 Gift Card

                                6 Books:  An Invitation to the end-of-the-year Sunshine State Extravaganza!!

                                   12 Books:  $10 SUPER COOL Gift Card AND an invitation to the Sunshine State Extravaganza!!

6th GRADE READING TOURNAMENT

Open to all FMS 6th graders!

Here’s how to participate:

Student Needs to....

Student Will Earn....

Step 1

Pick a book from the 6th Grade Reading Tournament List (21 book titles) and read it. 

Candy!

A permanent pass to the Media Center. 

Step 2

Complete the “On My Honor I read” form. Put the form in the tournament box in the Media Center by Wednesday. 

See the Reward Box below for specific treats. If you cannot eat candy or sweets, let Mrs. Foster know, and other rewards are available.

Step 3

On Friday morning (9:15 – 9:35 am) come to the Media Center to select your treat. 

Your ELA teacher will have a list of who is eligible to receive rewards by Thursday.

 

Remember, you need to read THREE books to receive an invitation to the Reading Tournament Finale in the spring.

 

6th GRADE READING TOURNAMENT REWARDS
